The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) has successfully completed its first patient treatment using the Raypilot® System, marking the start of clinical use of the technology at the hospital.
Following a successful installation, representatives from Micropos Medical were on-site in Charleston to support the clinical team during implementation and the first treatment. The collaboration marks an exciting step forward as MUSC begins integrating Raypilot into its daily radiotherapy workflow.
“Bringing Raypilot System into clinical use at MUSC is an important step for both our team and the continued expansion of the technology in the United States. We are grateful for the dedication and commitment of the MUSC team throughout the implementation process and look forward to supporting them as they continue treating patients“, says Hanna Syrén, COO at Micropos Medical.
The Raypilot® System is designed to support real-time motion management during radiotherapy treatment, helping clinicians improve treatment accuracy and potentially reduce side effects.
We are proud to partner with MUSC and look forward to following their clinical experience with Raypilot as they continue treating patients.
